Miss Belgian Beauty Finalists visit to Belcolade

Aalst, Belgium
15 October 2007

This year Aalst, 25km outside Brussels, was for the first time the host city for the Miss Belgian Beauty finalists. Many activities and visits were organized around Aalst and the program would not have been complete without a visit to Belcolade, to experience The Real Belgian Chocolate. Here they discovered why Belgian Chocolate is considered my many as the sweet diamond of the world.

On the 15th of October Belcolade was very pleased to welcome the 12 beautiful finalists, accompanied by the current Miss Belgian Beauty and Ignace Crombé, organizer of the contest. They came for a specially prepared chocolate workshop in our international Chocolate Center.   Stef Aerts, the Chocolate Centre Supervisor, gave them an interesting presentation about cocoa and chocolate, where they experienced the different aromas and flavours naturally present in our wide variety of origin chocolate.

The 12 beautiful women were then taken on a tour of the Belcolade factory, where they witnessed for themselves why Belcolade is the only company manufacturing 'The Real Belgian Chocolate'. After the tour they all attended a chocolate workshop where they were amazed at the creations being made by our professional chocolatiers, and even had a go at it themselves! In fact, all of them could demonstrate that one day they could become a master in preparing chocolate applications, such as lollypops and mendiants, amongst others.  As a gift the group received a specially designed chocolate piece to mark their visit to Belcolade.
