Belcolade in Italy was contacted back in October 2007 by the President of the ‘Club Pasticceri Italiani’, Mr. Antonio Vanacore. Following the passion of his Associates for chocolate, combined with the strong Italian passion for Formula 1 (especially for the Ferrari Team), had a great idea of producing the F2008 (the Ferrari car which will compete in the Formula 1 Championship in 2008, which starts in the middle of March in Australia) made out of 100% chocolate, in a 1/1 life-size scale.

The challenge seemed to be very hard from the outset (of course no mould for the car was available in the market), but Belcolade in Italy supported them in this challenge with great enthusiasm. First of all with the delivery of the 2008kg of Belcolade chocolate needed for the realization of the car, but also with technical advice from our local Chocolate Technical Advisor who went several times to the laboratory where they started the production of the car in November 07.

The final car was ready, after having overcome many technical issues. The Club contacted the local Ferrari Club of Naples to organize a 3 day event which took place on 22-23-24 February in the main square of Sorrento. A "Belcolade Certificate" was presented to each member of the Club Pasticceri Italiani for this great initiative.
