Belgian Chocolate Night in Copenhagen
Copenhagen, Denmark
3 October 2007
On October 3rd 2007, Puratos Nordic hosted a Belgian Chocolate Night at the residence of the Belgian Ambassador, Marc Van Craen and wife Maiike Van Craen. This high profile event was staged with great professionalism, even the Ambassador giving his speech in nearly fluent Danish, which impressed all the guests of course.
80 guests were invited by Puratos to the Chocolate Night, plus 20 by the Embassy itself, giving a great networking opportunity to all present. Guests received aperitifs whilst listening to various speeches, followed by a special "Cyrano" presentation by Belcolade's own demonstrator, Stef Aerts. This was an opportunity to learn how Belcolade goes about choosing very distinctive cocoa beans from all over the world to make the chocolates which are presented it its exclusive "Collection range" - a truly fun, interesting experience for all. Chocolate demonstrations and lots of chocolate tasting took place, followed by a Belgian buffet with desserts, all made using Belcolade chocolate, naturally!
As a special surprise to the Ambassador and the guests, Stef Aerts had prepared a 'Mannichen Pis' chocolate sculpture, a well-known landmark in Brussels, which was (and still is) placed in the hall of the residence to give a very unique photo opportunity for everyone.
Puratos Nordic is already discussing future co-operation for other events and activities, both with the Ambassador and the Commercial Attachés.
