The competition In three rounds professional chocolatiers were aiming at the title. The five finalists – in round three – were evaluated by a professional jury as well as a consumer panel.

In three rounds professional chocolatiers were aiming at the title. The five finalists - in round three - were evaluated by a professional jury as well as a consumer panel.
There were many visitors on all three rounds. The chocolatiers continue to see this competition as a professional platform to exchange ideas and experiences.

Even if they do not reach the finals, they still find that participating is worthwhile and educative.

Winner of the professional jury:

Number 1: Geert-Jan Heesterbeek of Visser Chocolade (www.visser-chocolade.nl) with Bullet 'Limited Edition'
"I started working for this company a year ago, the owner initiated the idea of the bullet, special moulds were created, and I invented the 'limited edition' especially for this competition."

Number 2: Dennis Stans  of Bakkerij Oonk (www.oonk.nl ) with Tonka Juweeltje
"Winning the votes of the public and also enticed the jury - I simply cannot choose which result I find more important. I greatly enjoy both!!"

Number 3: Niels Verweij of Patisserie Holtkamp (www.banketbakkerijholtkamp.nl) with Nihon
"This was also the third edition for me as participant, the second time that I reached the finals. Last year I won the public votes, and ended 4th, this year 3rd… the title is getting closer!"

Number 4: Hans Frenks of W. Koelman Brood Banket en Bonbons (www.wimkoelman.nl) with Passion for Pistache
"I am addicted to "marsepein", the base of this passionate praline. Participating was great, I would have liked to win, but being in the finals has already been a great experience."

Number 5: Hein Geers of Huize Geers (www.huizegeers.nl) with El Dorado
"I have visited my El Dorado, when winning the first edition of this competition. In my creation I have integrated the ingredients and tastes of that country (Costa Rica). Reaching the finals again was excellent".
