Recipes by 10 Patissiers, Japan

Puratos Japan held an exclusive 20 Years of Passion event in Tokyo this May. We wanted to put on something quite original, and set about choosing the best theme for us to work around. After brainstorming several different possibilities we were all in agreement that the idea of producing a top quality recipe book for our customers to use was the way to go.

Its title, "20 Recettes par 10 Patissiers" (20 Recipes by 10 Patissiers) was born. So, by adding a series of demonstrations over several days, plus of course an anniversary party to remember, we had the perfect combination of activities to celebrate Belcolade's 20 Years of Passion in Japan.

After several months of collecting the best recipes from the top 10 patissiers in Japan (plus 2 recipes each from Stéphane Leroux of Belcolade, and Joris Vanhee from Puratos Japan) we had 20 of the latest, most exciting recipes around. So, to kick-off the celebrations, a series of demonstrations were given on May 8th, 9th and 15th. Attendance levels were high, keeping Stéphane & Joeris very busy. In fact, they were presenting to almost all of the members of the last and next Japanese team of " La Coupe du Monde de Patisserie" and the last and next Japanese team of " WPTC". In total 250 people watched in awe.

On May 13th we hosted a grand party for customers, press and special guests, and it was here that the recipe book was unveiled. Each of the top 10 patissiers gave small talks about the recipes they had designed, giving guests the opportunity to tastes the cakes of course! We were delight that we achieved our objectives, as our event enabled us to further grow Belcolade's premium image in Japan and position ourselves within the circle of the key opinion leaders. A great day was had by all and some very positive feedback has been received from many customers who attended the event.
